Jeep’s 2018 Wrangler will go on sale later this year, but with only four doors instead of the traditional two door setup, we’re used to.
According to reports, 2018 Wrangler Unlimited models will roll out of the factory on the 13th of November with four-doors, a 3.6-litre V6 and a hard-top roof.
Two weeks later, Jeep will showcase both the 2018 Wrangler and Wrangler Limited SUVs at the LA Auto Show. After the event, GM will start building soft top four-door versions of the rugged off-roader.
Two-door 2018 Wrangler models are reported to go into production early next year and will be built with both the V6 and new turbocharged 2-litre four cylinder petrol engine.
Shortly afterwards, Jeep’s new power roof is expected to be made available. Offical details about the product have yet to surface, and it remains unclear if the roof will be offered as an optional extra across all models or if it will be part of a new package.
Diesel power units have also been pushed back to August 2018.
Current Wrangler models are said to stay in production until early next year, and as it stands, it will be discontinued on the 31st of March 2018.
