2018 Wrangler SUVs are still covered in heavy camo; reports have surfaced of white lies beneath including what colours to choose from for the exterior, how the roof works and what motors you can choose from.
Since 2002, a four cylinder petrol motor has not been present in the Wranglers lineup aside from a diesel engine in select markets. 2018 marks the return of a 2-litre turbo unit joining alongside the traditional six-cylinder motor.
Both manual and automatic can be had with either a manual or automatic gearbox. A Diesel engine is set to launch in 2019.
Reports also include a list of 2018 Wrangler exterior colours. White, Black, Granite Crystal and Billet Silver. For those who want their Wrangler to stand out in the crowd can choose from Blue, Orange, Baja Yellow and Red.
Interior options remain unknown. However, a power-sliding hardtop is said to join the options list as a powered alternative to the manual roof panels.
Additionally, four door models will ride on a longer wheelbase; Rubicon models can be had with 33-inch off-road ready tyres and all the entire 2018 Wrangler range benefits from a redesigned transfer case handle.
2018 Wrangler SUV’s are slated to launch later this year in December for American customers with other markets penned to receive the vehicles in early 2018. Before the launch, Jeep is expected to show off the model in full at the LA Motor Show in November.
