With the Frankfurt Motorshow just around the corner, the automotive world is just bursting with excitement. The new Sorento benefits from a full range of revisions to the inside and outside. But just before its European debut, Kia has kindly released new information about the 2018 Sorento.
Readily available in South Korea, the 7-seater SUV boasts revised front and rear bumpers, redesigned 17 and 19-inch alloys and a dark metallic finish applied to the front grille.
Inside, Kia has increased the use of soft-touch material along with a broad range of new tech including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and wireless phone charging.
Other noteworthy systems include full LED headlights with Dynamic Bending Light, Lane Keep Assist and High Beam Assist.
Furthermore, 2018 Sorento models will be the first Kia’s to be equipped with Drive Wise ADAS. This system detects when a driver is feeling tired or is distracted from what is ahead of them. If detected, a tone will be emitted from the vehicle as well as a graphical display on the dashboard cluster.
There are two new shades of paint to choose from; Rich Espresso and Gravity Blue.
2018 Sorento GT-Line
Not only will the model sport a refreshed design, but it will also be joined by a “sports” derived GT-Line version. This model comes standard red brake calipers, unique badges, quad-lamp LED fog lights. Diesel versions of this trim level get an exclusive set of chrome exhaust tips.
Inside, GT-line versions benefit from the previously mentioned upgrades along with quilted leather seats, satin chrome highlights, GT-line motifs and exclusive paddle shifters.
2018 Sorento models will go on sale later this year in Europe and will presumably go on sale early next year in other markets including the Middle East.
