Land Rover Jaguar has lifted the wraps revealing the 2018 Range Rover Sport lineup with a fresh look, more power and a new addition to the list.
Exterior wise, the fleet receives a set of Matrix Pixel LED headlights flanking either side of a revised grille and just below, is a refreshed front bumper.
Inside, 2018 Range Rover Sport models benefit from a new Touch Pro Duo infotainment system, two 10-inch touchscreen units, extra charging ports and an Activity Key which allows owners to unlock or lock their vehicle without a key fob.
But wait, there’s a new 2018 Range Rover Sport model
New to next years lineup is the P400e. Running on a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol motor, the latest entrant is a plug-in hybrid. Additionally, the model benefits from a 13.1 kWh lithium-ion battery to power an electric motor to generate a combined 398 horsepower and 640 Nm of torque.
This allows the SUV to sprint from 0-100 km/h in a respectable 6.5 seconds before hitting a top speed of 220 km/h. Primarily using electric power, the 2018 Range Rover Sport P400e can traverse 51 kilometres on a single charge and can be fully topped up in under three hours.
SVR models not only benefit from the cosmetic changes, but they also receive a slight increase in power. Now the 5.0-litre supercharged V8 produces 567 horsepower allowing a 0-100 sprint time of 4.5 seconds.
2018 Range Rover Sport SUV’s will be available early next year in the UK and other markets shortly afterwards. Prices start at £61,315 or AED 298,794 while the 2018 SVR starts at £99,680 or AED 485,751.
