Have you spotted a 2018 Porsche Cayenne in the UAE? Porsche have carefully selected a handful of countries to push the third generation Cayenne to the extreme including GCC nations.
Porsche have allegedly traversed 4.4 million kilometres since 2014 and not only have they scaled the dunes of the UAE, they’ve also completed a lap or two around iconic racetracks including Nardo, Nurburgring and Hockenheim.
Next-gen Porsche Cayenne’s have also been put to the test in stop-start traffic conditions as well as hot and humid weather present in Chinese cities, test tracks in Northern Europe and completed extensive offroad testing in South Africa and New Zealand.
In quite the contrast, 2018 Cayenne’s also sampled minus 45-degree temperatures scaling through the ice and snow of Alaska.
Along with a sleek new design, 2018 Porsche Cayenne models will continue to use a selection of V8’s and turbocharged V6’s with some fine-tuning. Plug-in drivetrains will join later on along with diesel engines which have been delayed as of late.
Still cloaked in camouflage, headlight stickers don’t appear to be as effective as 919 inspired head lamps are piercing through the graphics.
Porsche’s first take on the SUV has been a successful one. Debuting back in 2002, more than 760,000 units have been sold over the past 15 years and Porsche has no plans on stopping anytime soon.
