At a private event held in Fujairah with the Al Hajar mountain range serving as the perfect backdrop, the refreshed 2018 Nissan Pathfinder showcased its new V-Motion front grille, tweaked headlights, tail lights and bumpers.
Debuting way back in 1987, the Pathfinder has been the ideal choice to rival the likes of Honda’s CR-V and Ford Explorer. With seven seats, it’s more than just a pretty face in 2018.
The Japanese brand has added direct injection resulting in a 17 horsepower and 14 Nm of torque increase bring the numbers up to 271 hp and 340 Nm total. These numbers result in a 100 km/h sprint time of 7.5 seconds for two-wheel models and 8 seconds for 4WD.
Stiffer springs have been added to each corner with front ones 11% stiffer, and the rear is 7% stiffer than last years model giving 2018 models reduced body roll and a sharper ride on all terrains.
Channelling the power to the wheels is a third generation CVT transmission which saves an additional 50 kilos and perfectly copies a six-speed automatic gearbox.
Nissan offers three trim levels for the 2018 Nissan Pathfinder; S, SV and SL. Front wheel drive models start at AED 119,000 with four-wheel drive models ranging from AED 126,000 to AED 169,000.
Full option models are equipped with a 13-speaker BOSE premium sound system, adaptive cruise control, voice recognition, motion activated tailgate and a moving object detection system plus other premium features including power seats, leather upholstery, sunroof and more.
