2018 Mercedes S-Class models have finally broken cover in Shanghai, and there are plenty of features inside and out.
First of all, all 2018 Mercedes S-Class vehicles benefit from the new radiator grille with six and eight cylinder models featuring black gloss whereas V12 and long wheelbase models sport a chrome finish.
Then there is the redesigned front bumper with stand out air intakes giving the vehicles am aggressive yet sporty look. Around the back, the rear bumper is reworked with integrated tailpipes with a chrome finish along with new lights.
We’ve already caught a glimpse of the interior, but just to remind you, 2018 Mercedes S-Class cars feature two new high-resolution screens with one displaying dashboard gauges while the other serves as a media hub. There is also the touch-sensitive steering wheel that responds to swiping motions similar to a smartphone.
Additionally, the German brand has implemented the ENERGIZING Comfort Control feature that detects the driver’s mood and adjusts the cabin accordingly. This includes changing the interior lighting, cooling the seats and providing soothing massages though the seats.
Regarding power, there’s a new V8 bi-turbo engine rated at 462 horsepower. Mercedes claim the new V8 is amongst the most economical of its kind and consumes 10% than the previous versions.
With plenty on offer, 2018 Mercedes S-Class owners can choose from a 17 to 20-inch alloy rims for the corners either as standard or optional.
Destined for European showrooms in July 2017, Middle Eastern customers will be able to purchase the 2018 Mercedes S-Class shortly afterwards. But just in case you can’t wait, you can import one from Europe.
