Winter is certainly on its way. Usually, you put extra clothing on to keep warm; Mercedes-Benz doesn’t think that way at all as the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe has been caught with less camo than usual.
Instantly recognisable are the styling cues borrowed from the two-door S-Class and smaller C-Class. With that said, 2018 E-Class Coupe’s appear larger in stature to the old shape.
With a handful of exposed body panels on show, Mercedes appear ready to unveil the redesigned coupe in full at the upcoming Detroit Motor Show or in Geneva. We’ll not only have to wait until then to see the coupe in full but a price tag and solid release date.
Power units are said to be identical to the sedan variants which include a selection of four and six-cylinder petrol motors with various displacements. Each will be hooked up to an automatic gearbox powering the rear wheels or all four of them.
AMG tuned engines will eventually make their way underneath the bonnet including the heart-stopping E63 to continue fighting the M6.
Interior options are to remain identical to four-door models across the board. This includes navigation, media inputs, Bluetooth, paddle shifters, sunroof, etc. Safety options also remain similar, parking sensors, multiple cameras, adaptive headlights, lane departure assist and much more.
