Chicago Auto Show may be in full swing and flooded with new and exciting vehicles, but Denmark is currently where the 2018 Lamborghini Urus calls its temporary home.
Spied decked out in heavy camouflage, the beastly SUV strikes up a familiar resemblance to its concept dating way back to 2012 where the world got its first taste of the 2018 Lamborghini Urus.
Of course, there are certain components that have been toned down to make the vehicle more street friendly to abide by the rules of the motoring world.
For example, standard door mirrors are evident on either side instead of high-tech cameras, restyled front and rear bumpers, road legal rights and relocated exhaust tips that now stick out two-a-piece on either side.
2018 Lamborghini Urus models will utilise the underpinnings of Volkswagen’s range-topping SUV’s found on the Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne and Bentley Bentayga with the latter being one of its potential rivals.
Power units are still up in the air with a 4-litre twin turbocharged V8 said to be the engine of choice. Alternatively, the Italian manufacturer will offer a plug-in hybrid powertrain, a first for Lamborghini.
Rumour has it the raging bulls second SUV is set to debut in full production trim later this year at the Shanghai Motor Show in China, with sales commencing shortly afterwards.
Production of the angular SUV is scheduled to start in April.
Until then, why not check out our inventory of new Lamborghini and used Lamborghini for sale in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
