Later this year, GM will launch the 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe with a new trim level packed with select features from those wanting a little extra but are price conscious at the same time.
Based on the LS trim, Chevy Tahoe Custom models benefit from 18-inch painted aluminium rims on each corner and a chromed front grille.
Customers benefit from a plethora of technology including a remote starter, reverse camera and an 8-inch colour touchscreen multimedia system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration.
Additionally, Chevrolet offers up to five USB inputs and 4G LTE connectivity with a WiFi hotspot. The latter is possibly an optional extra available for an additional cost.
While the interior is familiar to Tahoe fans, instead of offering space for eight passengers, the 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe Custom has no third row allowing for just five occupants at a single time.
Some may see this a flaw; however, with the three seats removed, rear cargo capacity increases to 54 cubic feet and only increase by double that amount with the second row folded flat.
Power remains to be drawn from a 5.3-litre V8 petrol motor rated at 355 horsepower and 518 Nm of torque. This allows the SUV to tow up to 2,993 kilos in base trim. Add the optional Max Trailering Package and you’ll be able to haul up 3,900 kilos.
2018 Chevrolet Tahoe Custom and other trim levels will go on sale in September in the US with other markets to follow shortly after. Across the waters, prices start at $44,995 or AED 165,257.
