Not satisfied with your lap times around the circuit with your Camaro. Not to worry, as the 2018 Camaro ZL1 1LE comes with an optional Extreme Track Package. Not only does it look the part, but it is also the brand’s most track-focused Camaro to date.
Highlights include a carbon fibre rear spoiler and additional trim pieces attached to the front end to aid downforce to keep the 2018 Camaro ZL1 1LE glued to the asphalt.
Hiding underneath its tough exterior are adjustable springs with lightweight Multimatic DSSV dampers for each end with the front ends height being fully adjustable via a button inside as are other mechanical parts of the vehicle.
Mounted in the engine bay is a throbbing V8 supercharged LT4 6.2-litre petrol motor rated at a mega 650 horsepower. Reports have the rear wheels controlled by a 6-speed manual transmission. It’s unknown if an automatic gearbox is available.
Lightweight forged alloys wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3R rubber adorn each corner providing a max lateral grip of 1.10g.
Other track-ready features include Brembo brakes, BOSE premium sound system, cooled front seats and dual-zone automatic climate control.
In the States, the 2018 Camaro ZL1 1LE Extreme Track Pack costs an additional $7,500 or AED 27,548. 2018 Camaro models are destined to arrive later this year.
1LE packages without the Track Pack is available for LS, LT, SS and ZL1 trims. SS versions can also be had with an upscaled 2SS pack.
