Last month, we heard the 2018 Azera would debut this month. Currently launching in select parts of the region, the updated Azera is a perfect fit for the upmarket sedan category.
As we’ve previously covered, the 2018 Azera is taller, longer and wider than the outgoing model and is packed with the latest technological accessories.
Wireless phone charging, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, heads-up display, fog detection, automatic dehumidification and an enhanced filtration system that keeps those pesky dust particles out of the cabin. These are just a few of the features available.
Safety features are equally as impressive. Nine airbags for all passengers, blind spot detection mirrors, lane keep assist, advanced smart cruise control modes, driver attention alert, autonomous emergency braking and around view monitor.
All of these are more than enough to rival the Chevrolet Impala, Toyota Avalon, Nissan Maxima, Kia Cadenza plus a fair few other plush sedans.
In the Middle East, 2018 Azera sedan’s ship with a 3.5-litre V6 petrol motor powering the front wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
Rated at 290 horsepower, GCC customers will be happy to know they have an additional 29 horsepower compared to foreign counterparts as they produce 261 hp. Regional residents also benefit from a larger engine as import 2018 Azera models ship with 3-litre displacements.
With the model rolling out across the region, a price tag has yet to be confirmed for UAE residents as of writing.
Until we get official confirmation, we’ve got new Hyundai Azera and used Hyundai Azera for sale in Dubai and Sharjah.
