Aston Martin creates bespoke and elegant vehicles that anyone can love. Whether it be the Aston Martin Vulcan, One-77, V8 Vantage, Vanquish and the upcoming DB11. All have jaw dropping looks and power. Red Bull make beverages and own a top class Formula One team and aren’t known for creating a street legal car. That is until now.
Meet the 2018 Aston Martin AM-RB 001, a joint creation of the two brands and it’s not just impressive to look at but it’s construction and specs will leave the likes of the Koenigsegg One:1 shaking in its boots.
Built from lightweight carbon Fibre, AM-RB 001’s will have a power to weight ratio of 1:1. Exact figures aren’t known. However, a V12 will power the wheels. In track-ready trim, developers claim it’ll be faster than current generation F1 cars! With what seems like quite a task ahead, Aston Martin and Red Bull are “in it to win it.”
How many will be constructed is said to be between 99 and 150 units and included in that number is 25 track only versions and prototypes.
The car shown is a mock-up of the vehicle with rumours pegging the near production-ready version to pop up in Paris later this year to draw away the crowd from the Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta.
If you are looking for a price, we haven’t got on to share with, but this won’t be cheap. Deliveries are expected sometime in 2018. The 001 also may not be a one-off run of ludicrous sports cars as Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer hinted at a 002, 003 and so. Maybe in a few years, a British Spy film will have it’s very one AM-RB.
