Mark the date down in your diary as the 2018 Accent is heading to Bahrain on the 26th of March for its Middle East debut.
Unveiled last year in South Korea, the 2018 Accent now enters its fifth generation with a bolder and enhanced interior and is ready to raise the bar in the compact saloon car market.
Measuring longer and wider compared to the outgoing model resulting in increased cabin space for all occupants while the entire cabin is lined with more durable materials along with a wide variety of features.
What expect from the 2018 Accent
Audio inputs and Bluetooth connectivity transition their way into the all-new model along with a plethora of safety features including adaptive cruise control, six airbags, static bending lights (adaptive headlights) and emergency stop signal lights.
Across the pond, the 2018 Accent can be had with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, power sunroof, push-button start, chrome trim and alloy rims. It’s unknown if GCC versions will receive these options. We’d love to see them on the options list for local versions of the Accent.
Powering the 2018 Accent is said to be a choice of two motors; a 1.4-litre rated at 99 horsepower and a 1.6-litre pushing out 121 hp. Both engines are available with either a seven-speed automatic or a six-speed manual gearbox driving the front axle. Both motors will feature multi-point fuel injection.
The 2018 Accent will be available across dealerships later this year.
