Going on sale in 2009, the 370Z is one of the oldest “sports” cars available in the market. Now almost ten years later, the 2018 370Z is to arrive shortly with a slight upgrade.
Standard fixed-roof models now come standard with front and rear lights which were previously exclusive to NISMO versions, black door handles, black highlights on the rear bumper and a set of unique 19-inch alloys on each corner.
To complete the additions, Nissan now offers customers a new lick of Red Metallic Paint.
Inside, the two-seater can be equipped with the latest NissanConnect Premium infotainment system. This includes a 7-inch touchscreen display unit, DVD player, navigation and a rear view camera.
Nissan has not made any tweaks to the engine, leaving the 3.7-litre V6 pumping out 323 horsepower. Rear wheel drive remains with both the seven-speed automatic and six-speed manual gearbox still on offer.
There is one new mechanical component. Developed by Exedy, the new high-performance clutch is only available on manual drivetrains. Nissan claims the new clutch reduces driver pedal effort and delivers quicker gear changes.
2018 370Z NISMO and Roadster models will continue to be sold without the upgrades.
Nissan’s latest Z offering will presumably go on sale in the not so distant future and will probably rock up at a motor show later this year. As of writing, Nissan has not yet revealed a price tag.
What’s after the 2018 370Z?
As for a successor, Nissan has no plans at the moment to discontinue the ageing “sports” car.
Dubicars.com has used Nissan 370Z for sale in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman.
