Summertime has just begun in Europe, but in the UAE it started two months ago. That’s not what we’re here to talk about, we’re here to tell you all about the 2016 Volkswagen Touareg Executive Edition which is currently available in Volkswagen showrooms across Europe and only in Europe.
Exclusive to this package is a rather alluring burgundy shade of paint known as Malbec Red, darkened LED taillights, 20-inch rims finished in black and tinted windows all around. Other rim choices and licks of paint are available if these do not tickle your fancy.
Inside, the exclusivity continues with Tobacco brown diamond stitched pattern embedded on black Nappa leather seats. Cooled front seats, wood trim, adjustable ambient lighting and many more high end features.
Powering the Executive Edition is a TDI engine pumping out 204 horsepower to all four wheels via an automatic transmission. No petrol variant, unfortunately. It looks like a V6 or V8 petrol motor will have to suffice here and we’ve got new Volkswagen Touareg and used Volkswagen Touareg for sale in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
As it’s equipped with a diesel motor, the chances of it landing on UAE soil as a GCC spec vehicle is very slim. If you do find yourself lusting after one, you can import one from Europe. The price of one unit will set you back €64,925 or AED 265,100.
US costumers and other diesel popular regions are also left out for the time being, and only time will tell if the Executive package branches out.
