As the market launch for the 2017 Volkswagen Beetle draws evidently closer, the iconic German brand has released a ton of images to showcase not just the base model but three exclusive trim levels; Dune, Denim and R-Line.
R-Line models replace sport models and sit at the top of the trim ladder. Equipped with a single chrome tailpipe, red brake calipers, unique 17-inch alloys on each corner, sports seats not to mention enlarged fenders for a touch of uniqueness.
Other trim levels and packages also benefit from new bumpers and a host of colour options including a shade of Emerald Green seen in the pictures.
Five power options are available to control the front wheels, including three petrol options. Base models are to be fuelled by a 1.2-litre four cylinder turbocharged motor with 104 hp on tap whereas top spec models can be equipped with a 2.0-litre four cylinder engine rated at a respectable 217 horsepower. The other two options are both diesel guzzlers and all power plants can be equipped with a dual-clutch DSG gearbox for an additional fee.
Inside, new material, colours and accessories are available and as an optional extra, customers can implement a 6.3-inch display with touchscreen features, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink. A painted centre console is also part of the list as is blind spot detection monitoring and a Rear Traffic Alert System to aid when on the going forward or backwards.
