2017 V6 Nissan Patrol sneaks into UAE Showrooms

Six-cylinders may seem a lot quieter than eight-cylinder variants, but we had no clue they were quiet enough to roll into a country undetected. 2017 Nissan Patrol SE models have done just that and certainly taken a leaf out of James Bond’s book as no trace can be found of the V6 motor is available online.

V6 Patrol SUV’s are readily available right now in the UAE and prices are as follows:

Trim level Price
Nissan Patrol XE AED 191,000
Nissan Patrol SE AED 222,000
Nissan Patrol SE with Leather AED 239,000
Nissan Patrol SE Platinum AED 261,000

Underpinnings of the SUV are borrowed from the Nissan Xterra as its engine. Powering all four wheels is a 4.0-litre six-cylinder motor pumping out around 275 horsepower. Mated exclusively to a 7-speed auto gearbox, the Japanese brand is not offering a manual transmission here.

As always, Platinum models sit atop the trim ladder with options including rear TV screens, cooled front seats, navigation, premium leather, fridge, 20-inch alloys and a truckload more.

V8 models are still available in LE and NISMO trims with a displacement of 5.6-litres and outputs of 400 and 420 hp respectively.

Looking for a V8 Japanese SUV? We’ve got new Nissan Patrol and used Nissan Patrol for sale in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.

Oddly enough, a video popped up online a few years ago which showed a supposed V6 Nissan Patrol SUV taming not just the UAE’s Deserts but the intense heat as well.

Finally, the V6 version of the Land Cruiser has its very own homegrown rival.

Update: Offical dealers in the UAE offer five years warranty and first free service for those purchasing directly from them along with a range of other goodies.

  2. Nissan wanted to hike the price of their models. That’s the prime reason for their hide and seek approach. Nissan UAE is just utilising the market and selling patrol for a very high price tag in UAE

  3. One would have thought since Dubai is the only place they sell the most Patrols, they’d make a big fuss about it. Unfortunately if their sales guys don’t know much and website is not updated – how will they sell?
at least Toyota has all the information available online!
