2017 Porsche 911 GT3 gets price and launch date in UAE

Geneva Motor show is officially in full swing. New vehicles, updates and revolutionary automatic technology are what it’s all about, and at the same time, Porsche has unveiled the 2017 Porsche 911 GT3 and dropped a price tag for UAE residents.

Maintaining the flat four-litre flat six cylinder motor rated at 500 horsepower, a seven-speed dual clutch automatic PDK gearbox as standard, 0-100 km/h is attained in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 318 km/h.

Newly added to the options list is the returning six-speed manual box for those die hard enthusiasts wanting additional control and of course bragging rights. With a top speed of 320 km/h and a 0-100 time of 3.9 seconds.

Porsche has carefully adjusted the chassis for increased handling properties and overall driving dynamics, especially through the corners.

The German manufacturer has finely tuned the exterior of the vehicle to slice through the air with the element being streamlined to the rear carbon rear wing, lightweight exhaust openings and rear diffuser.

Inside the 2017 Porsche 911 GT3, creature comforts remain identical to the 2016 model including a touchscreen multimedia interface and a newly borrowed sports steering wheel from the 918 Spyder.

Porsche offer three unique seating options for the 2017 911 GT3. The first being Electric Sports Seats with 18-way adjustments, the second is a set of Sports bucket seats with manual adjust bar and thorax airbags. The third and final option are full bucket seats encased in lightweight carbon fibre plastic.

Porsche Communication Management or PCM for short returns as standard with Connect Plus and Track Precision included. The latter proves useful for those keen on track days as they can display, record and analyse lap times and share it with the dedicated smartphone app.

2017 Porsche 911 GT3 models will launch across the UAE in mid-July with pre-order books officially open as of writing. Prices start from AED 539,000.
