BMW in Abu Dhabi aren’t the only ones to have limited editions rolling in and out of their showrooms. This past week, Nissan unveiled the 2017 Nissan Patrol Gannas edition which is on sale right now and is exclusive to the UAE.
For those who don’t know what Gannas means, in English, it translates to Hunter which in itself is a national past time in the UAE.
Setting itself from regular models, the 2017 Nissan Patrol Gannas is equipped with similar equipment to the Desert Edition which launched late last year at the Dubai International Motor Show. It also packs the V8 5.6-litre petrol motor mated to an automatic gearbox.
18-inch Hutchinson double beadlock rims adorn each corner, ARB Suspension, a flag pole, extra protection underneath the vehicle and an onboard air compressor. If that isn’t enough to entice you, Nissan also offer a larger fuel tank which drains out at 2320 kilometres! Off-road rubber for each rim, recovery kit, sand ladders, spare tyre carrier mounted on the rear, and a winch are also available for an extra cost.
One example of the 2017 Nissan Patrol Gannas will set you back AED 260,000 and is available right now from the Abu Dhabi dealership.
This is also not the first time Gannas has attached itself to a Patrol, back in the early 90’s the Japanese brand released a Patrol of the era that was better equipped for off-road driving.
