Even though the 2017 Kia GT has been caught inside the factory with little to no camo, the South Korean brand is still teasing its arrival sometime next year for those of us you don’t live in the Asian country.
Before the spy shot from inside the facility popped up at our doorstep, Kia released two videos of the 2017 Kia GT showcasing its performance on track. From the short clips, we learnt the vehicle can hit a top speed of 250 km/h and run 0-100 km/h in around 5.1 seconds which puts the car alongside its Germans rivals.
In their third and most recent video, we are treated to a shadow of the 2017 Kia GT with a camera highlighting specific groves of the sport sedan. Towards the end, the dark tone is toned down giving us a glimpse of the paint covering the vehicle’s exterior which appears to be a dark shade of red paint.
While we still have no clue what’s to power the rear wheels of the 2017 Kia GT, indicators are firmly set on a V6 borrowed from the Genesis series G80. With the aid of two turbochargers, the motor will spit out 365 horsepower if not more while mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Much like most cars debuting at the moment, the 2017 Kia GT is set to flip the world upside down early next year in Detroit at the North American Motor Show.
Got that itch for a South Korean made vehicle? We’ve got new Kia and used Kia for sale in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Abu Dhabi.
