The 2017 Golf GTI in the video is the Clubsport trim. Fitted with aerodynamic bits and pieces and Dynamic Chassis Control it’s not just lightning quick through the corners but in a straight line too.
With the accelerator firmly placed on the floor, 0-100 km/h is achieved in an impressive 6.3 seconds. With its compact boost module pushing out 290 horsepower which should be more than enough to beat a Falcon in a straight line.
Or is it? Those who know a thing or two about Falcon’s will immediately notice that taking to the skies is a Peregrine Falcon. Capable of reaching a top speed of 320 km/h, this is one intense battle from start to end. And yes that is quicker than a handful of sports cars, no wonder it’s the national bird of the UAE.
