The Enhanced Driver Alert package (available on this LTZ) now includes Low Speed Forward Automatic braking and complements the existing suite of collision avoidance features and security functions, such as Lane Keep assist, Forward Collision Alert and Safety Alert Seat while the active aero shutters do not just assist aerodynamics, they also help cool the powertrain by opening automatically when need be. Powering the Tahoe is a 5.3-liter V-8 Engine producing 355 hp and 519Nm of torque is paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. For significant stretches on the highway, the Tahoe turned its V-8 into a V-4, this operation occurs seamlessly while driving. Cylinder deactivation technology cuts fuel to half of the engine's cylinders increasing fuel economy to around 20mpg.
