With an enviable track record, the model weighed just 550 kg in a formula that combined a central engine, tubular chassis and an extremely lightweight body. It is no coincidence that the same formula was used in the construction of the recreation signed by Chamonix. Manufactured in Brazil for over 30 years and exported to several countries, the Chamonix Spyder 550 was elected by the German magazine Auto Motor ünd Sport as the best recreation of the classic sports car, in a test led by none other than former F-1 world champion Phil Hill. The model received several compliments for its construction and dynamic behavior. In addition, it passed with flying colors the rigorous chassis torsion tests carried out by the T.Ü.V of Germany, which considered it suitable for engines of up to 250 hp. For all these reasons, it is no exaggeration to say that the Chamonix 550 Spyder maintains the same voracious appetite for asphalt as the model from which it is inspired.
