BMW’s "CS" badge dates to the late 1960s, when it was used for a more powerful version of the then-new BMW E9, at first called the 2000 CS, it later evolved into the 2800 CS, 3.0 CS, and 2.5 CS. The 3.0 CS spawned the iconic 3.0 CSL, a lighter, homologation special that went on to become BMW’s most iconic race car.
Moving on to this 2018 Clubsport M4 in the original BMW Alpine white not only does it look the business, once you take it for a drive you cannot help but fall in love…. It really is the ultimate driving machine!!

The BMW M4 Club Sport shares the same chassis setup as the Competition Package with Michelin Pilot Super sport tyres. The front end provides a carbon fibre bonnet, a deep cooling vent at the front, control systems for the Adaptive M suspension, DSC & active M Differential. Setup of the electromechanical steering have been modified to suit the revised dynamics setup, the same sparse composite door cards reducing the weight to 1580kg.
Under the hood we find a twin-turbo, 3.0-liter inline-six codenamed the S55 engine, the unit uses two mono-scroll turbochargers, a charged air cooler, high-precision injection, valvetronic variable valve timing, and Double-VANOS fully variable camshaft timing to crank out an outstanding 460 brake horsepower & 600Nm of torque @ 4000 rpm. That is 35 horsepower more than the standard M4 and 10 horsepower more than the M4 with the Competition Package. Only the seven-speed M DCT dual clutch gearbox is offered with the CS due to the sheer power numbers, which are quoted at 3.9-sec to 100kms.
Here we have features that set the CS apart. Up front, there is an exclusive front splitter made from exposed carbon-fibre and a slightly revised apron with the familiar three-piece air intake. Around the back, the massive wing seen on the GTS was ditched in favour of a redesigned Gurney lid spoiler for less aggressive, Club Sport look. The CS also shares the OLED taillights, the rear diffuser, and the carbon-fibre-reinforced (CFRP) engine hood and roof with the GTS.
