On May 18, 1992, a true masterpiece was delivered at the historic Ferrari factory in Maranello with this Ferrari 512 TR in the iconic color Rosso Corsa.

In April 1999, the 512 TR eventually came into the hands of passionate Dutchman, René, who, together with his friend and Ferrari specialist Jan, had found it after a long search. Jan had owned a beautiful TR for a year and knew exactly what to look for. Although purchasing the TR fulfilled a long-held desire, there was still a dream of the even rarer 512/ M. In the winter of 2000, Jan and René decided to realize their dream together by transforming the 512 TR into the 512 Modificata, also known as the F512 M. Jan, as an experienced and professional Ferrari specialist with long-standing connections at Kroymans, was able to source all the original Ferrari parts. They were even more delighted to acquire the large blue Factory Manual, Modificata F512M, through Kroymans. This enabled them to carry out the "Modificata" conversion of the two 512 TR models entirely according to original factory specifications. For both men, but especially for Jan, it was a challenging private project that had to be done mostly in their own time. There was no rush in realizing their dream, so they worked meticulously. In early summer 2002, this dream came to life after two years of hard work, resulting in the glorious and precise Ferrari 512 M.
The years of maintenance and care
Over the years, the love for the Ferrari 512 M remained strong. Regular maintenance and optimal, conditioned storage—alongside the other Ferraris in the collection—ensured that the car always stayed in top condition. In February 2024, the car underwent an extensive and complete service with the removal of the V12, including: new timing belts with tensioners, air and oil filters, oil seals on the crankshaft and camshafts, and all 48 valves were adjusted. Since everything was already accessible, the clutch mechanism, pressure bearing, and the clutch were renewed, even though the existing clutch was still at 45%. This complete operation was carried out by the classic Ferrari specialist in Hilversum, Mugello Engineering by Wim van Eijk. The Ferrari 512 M is now ready for many more years of new adventures and for the next fulfillment of someone's passionate dream.
