Imagine stepping back into the year 1971 when you see this fully restored Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 before you. A complete restoration where nothing was left to chance, every bolt passed through the hands of the specialist who gave this American muscle car a new lease on life. Originally delivered in Germany and imported to the Netherlands in 2001, the last owner decided to restore the Formula 400 to like-new condition. After the completion of this restoration in 2024, it is our honor to find a new happy owner.

Imagine: you take your seat behind the wheel of this powerhouse. The sound of the 400 (6. 6 L) big block V8 fills the cabin as you hit the road. With every acceleration, you feel the excitement of pure power and performance. It takes 6. 4 seconds to achieve a 0 to 100 km/ h sprint. For a distance of 400 meters (also known as the quarter mile), the Formula 400 needs 14. 7 seconds. This is 6 seconds slower than the current record set in 2024.

Designed for those who desire a pure, unadorned muscle car, the Formula 400 embodies the essence of American driving. The only noticeable difference between the Firebird and the Formula 400 is the hood. It is made of fiberglass and features two large scoops for better engine cooling and more oxygen intake. In the 1971 production year, the Formula 400 also had heat extractors on the front fenders to release heat from the engine bay.
