Mercedes-Benz in association with Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles has introduced a new range of cars for the Middle East region at GIMS Qatar 2023: the new E-Class sedan, new CLE coupe and the new AMG-GLC 63 S E Performance coupe SUV. Alongside these three new cars, Mercedes also showcased many of their large portfolio including the G63 AMG 4×4 Squared and the S-Class Maybach.
New E-Class Sedan
The new E-Class has been given a complete overhaul in terms of design, features and powertrain options too. The best-selling segment from Mercedes-Benz now inches closer to the S-Class sedan. The new design and features make the E-Class more business-class and premium.
Under the bonnet, the sedan uses either a 2.0-litre inline-4 petrol engine or a 3.0-litre inline-6 petrol engine, both of which are turbocharged. Depending on the market, the E-Class sedan will feature either a mild hybrid or a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The one showcased at the event was an E200 with a mild-hybrid powertrain producing 204hp and 320Nm paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
New CLE Coupe
The CLE coupe is the newest addition to the Mercedes-Benz vehicle portfolio. The CLE Coupe is also either powered by a 2.0-litre inline-4 petrol engine or a 3.0-litre inline-6 petrol engine. The one showcased at the event was the range-topping CLE 450 mild hybrid coupe that produces 375hp and 500Nm paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
New AMG-GLC 63 S E Performance Coupe-SUV
Finally, the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S E Performance coupe-SUV. Much like the other Mercs in the portfolio, the new GLC AMG models now use a 2.0-litre inline-4 petrol engine. However, it also uses an F1-inspired electric-hybrid powertrain. Together the petrol-hybrid produces a mind-blowing 671hp and 554Nm. Here are more details of the GLC 63 S E Performance coupe-SUV.
