Finally, the Aston Martin DBX has at last been given a launch window. As of writing, a pre-production build has been approved, and the final version will bear a similar resemblance to what has previously been shown off.
We first caught a glimpse of the Aston Martin DBX in 2015 in Geneva. The model sported two doors, four seats and a set of electric motors.
Production models are expected to retain the two door, four seat setup with a selection of two engines. A powerful 5.2-litre V12 borrowed from the DB11 rated at 600 horsepower and an AMG sourced V8 delivering 503 hp.
Shortly after an all-electric drivetrain will join the ranks along with a hybrid version. Diesel fans will have to look elsewhere as that option has already been ruled out.
This will be Aston Martin’s first model to be sold with four-wheel drive. However, it hasn’t been confirmed if this will be the only drivetrain available to customers.
DBX’s will be built on a newly developed chassis built in-house by the quaint British brand dismissing rumours that the underpinnings would be borrowed from AMG.

Aston Martin has their eyes firmly set on both the Bently Bentayga, Lamborghini Urus, Maserati Levante, Range Rover and Porsche Cayenne upon launch in 2019.
