BMW are on a roll these past few days. With multiple updates to various models, the 2018 BMW 1-Series is the latest to be revealed. Can you spot what’s new?
Changes are minuscule, similar to that of the 2-Series with the 2018 BMW 1-Series shipping with new wheels and a set of new colours including Sunset Orange and Seaside Blue.
On top of the “updates”, BMW will introduce three special editions called Edition Sport Line Shadow, Edition M Sport Shadow and BMW M140i Shadow. All of which have a black grille frame, black highlights around the headlights and tinted lighting units.
Similar to that of the 2-Series, 2018 BMW 1-Series benefit from a new dashboard cluster, newly designed air vents, high-gloss black highlights and updated upholstery options.
Drivers of the 2018 1-Series take advantage of the latest iDrive computer system, 8.8-inch touchscreen display with navigation and Bluetooth available and an optional WiFi hotspot that supports up to ten devices. No wireless charging is on offer for the 1-Series.
We already know, 2019 versions will ride on a front-wheel layout leaving the 2018 1-Series the last of its kind with a rear-wheel drive platform.
BMW offer a handful of petrol motors. Two three-cylinder engines, two four-cylinder ones and a single straight six engine to power the M140i. Diesel models are available with a single three-cylinder engine or three four-cylinder engines.
BMW haven’t revealed when exactly 2018 1-Series models will hit showrooms, but we suspect July this year. In the meantime, check out used BMW 1-Series for sale in Dubai.
