After a few teases here and there and a handful of leaks, the German manufacturer has revealed the 2018 BMW 2-Series. Can you tell the difference?
Take a moment; we’ll let you zoom in on the pictures to see if you can see what’s new.
Can’t spot the updates? We’ll forgive you as they are hard to spot. Front headlights are now standard with LED’s; rear LED’s are updated, the front end is mildly refreshed with larger air intakes and wider double kidney grille.
Inside, drivers are treated to a new instrument panel, the latest iDrive internal computer system paired with an 8.8-inch media display, touchscreen interface with navigation and other media settings, redesigned air vents and a redesigned glove compartment cover.
A wireless charging dock is also part of the update as is a WiFi hotspot that can support up to ten devices.
2018 BMW 2-Series are set to launch this July, and they’ve expanded the colour palette that now includes Sunset Orange, Mediterranean Blue and Seaside Blue. Both coupe and convertible body styles return.
European customers benefit from a wide selection of petrol motors including a three-cylinder base model, two four pots and six cylinders engine all with turbocharged induction for an extra kick.
Diesel engines will also be made available with three straight four motors and of course, the lovable M2 returns with a 3-litre M twin-turbocharged straight six rated at 365 horsepower.
