Are you scared of getting stung by anything? Or allergic to anything with a sharp bit somewhere on its body? Don’t worry the 2018 Kia Stinger will only sting you ever so slightly when it launches later this year.
Sporting an aggressive yet sleek body all around, the 2018 Kia Stinger certainly is a head turner both inside and out.
Aimed directly towards the 4-series Gran Coupe spawning out of BMW’s camp, the 2018 Kia Stinger measures in longer and wider giving those who purchase one more cabin and boot space. But it’s not just the 4-series that will feel the sting, the Infiniti Q50, Lexus IS Series, Audi A4 and others. Wow, that’s quite the target range!
Base models pack a 2-litre turbocharged unit pumping out a respectable 255 horsepower and 325 Nm of torque. This engine can be swapped out for a 3.3-litre V6 twin-turbo model if desired. Rated at 365 horsepower and 494 Nm of torque, 0-100 km/h is achieved in an impressive 5.1 seconds.
Both pairings are equipped with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and rear wheel drive as standard with all-wheel drive as an optional extra.
2018 Kia Stinger models are set to launch this Summer in the States. A GCC launch date will follow shortly afterwards with an unknown price.
