But the Toyota FJ Cruiser is one that does, recalling the early Toyota Landcruiser of the 1960s and '70s that we remember so fondly. Therefore, the design has changed little from 2011 on-wards proving the FJ’s sturdy design & excellent value for money. So, if you’re looking for a five-seater, off-roader that is an extremely capable vehicle in any conditions this is the perfect choice.
Its styling is modern yet recalls some of the styling cues associated with the original FJs like the mesh grill (with "TOYOTA" spelled out in bold letters) flanked by circular headlights, the intake on the leading edge of the hood, the upright windshield, the contrasting white roof, and the external rear spare tire. Inside, the same tough semi-retro theme continues. Being a tribute to the original FJ.
Powering the FJ Cruiser is a 4.0-litre V6 petrol engine 270 BHP and 381Nm of torque were delivered & is extremely well regarded in the trade and runs a timing chain rather than a belt which should be good for the life of the vehicle. The towing specifications are impressive, and the Cruiser has a towing capacity of up to 2250kg. On the inside you get a new 12” information system for the latest model with apple/android car play plenty of cupholders, Air-conditioning, Bluetooth, power mirrors, power windows & a Rear view Camera.
