Things get better in the Chevy Silverado Trailboss! Revised with a new aggressive appearance look. Coming on the Trim includes 18-inch painted black wheels wearing all-terrain tires, and completely revised body look and is one handsome looking half-ton truck. You will immediately notice the almost complete lack of chrome on the Trail boss. Conveying a more refined look, with body-coloured bumpers, centre grille and door handles.
The new front end is a cohesive unit, with the hood, grille and fenders flowing seamlessly into one another. According to Chevrolet, the design is more aerodynamic, while being muscular at the same time. Head rearward, and folks will notice a hard tonneau cover and a bumper that not only houses dual chrome exhaust tips, but integrated bed steps as well.
Powering the Trailboss is a 6.2L V8 engine producing 430bhp but has Dynamic Fuel Management (DFM) and a 10-speed gear automatic box. AFM allows the engine to shut down half its cylinders in a bid to save fuel. DFM, on the other hand, can halt cylinders in a variety of combinations, which, combined with two extra cogs in the gearbox, makes for even further fuel savings & the new 10-speed shifts smoothly, compared to the six-speed transmission.
Already covered with durable bed liner, the cargo box boasts a best-in-class capacity (up to 20% more than competitors) with LED lights, available 120v outlet, 12 tie-down points, totally capable doing the dirty work off road and tackling the dunes for the upcoming winter!
Overall, the cabin is a nice place to be, dashboard is clearly laid out and boasts a suite of large analog gauges. A thick-rimmed leather wrapped steering wheel with heat, provides access to the cruise control, radio, and hands-free phone, along with controls for the inset LCD information screen.
Then there are the cloth-trimmed seats that are not only comfortable, but also supportive. Aside, the Silverado offers up great technology by way of Chevrolet’s Infotainment 3 System with its eight-inch colour touchscreen display.
