This 1977 BMW 320 E21 is a beautifully restored European-spec example, powered by a modified and overhauled E30 2.5-liter M20 inline-six engine, paired with a five-speed manual transmission for an engaging and spirited driving experience.
The car has undergone a comprehensive, top-to-bottom restoration, including the underbody, exterior, interior, and mechanical components. It was completely disassembled, with all moldings, windows, and trims removed before a meticulous repainting process. Restoration photos are available upon request.
The exterior has been updated with new inner door rubbers, window trims, rear vent window brackets, a new front BMW grille, and a new chrome front bumper, giving the car a fresh, polished appearance. Inside, the cabin has been fully reupholstered in black vinyl, with a restored original dash, door panels, and new black carpet, including the trunk. The interior retains its original E21 sport bucket seats, and features manual windows along with a newly installed Alpina sound system with Bluetooth and remote control, ensuring a modern touch in a classic setting.
Mechanically, the car has been fully overhauled by Slick Auto Custom in Dubai, with over AED 25k spent on upgrades and service. This includes engine mounts, engine tuning, a performance engine fan, fresh fluids, a new radiator, battery, expansion tank, valve cover gasket, seals, hoses, drive belts, and a full brake system overhaul. The fuel system has also been completely refreshed with a new fuel pump, regulator, hoses, and spark plugs, while suspension components like front and rear tie rods, stabilizer bars, and bushings have been replaced. The car sits on a brand-new set of tubeless tires, with 195/45 R16 tires at the front and 205/40 ZR16 at the rear, all mounted on custom 16” Alpina alloy wheels, completing its distinctive look and performance.
